WELCOME TO THE RAINHILL TRIALS

Starting way back in 2013, the Rainhill Trials are large arena, functional fitness competitions open to athletes of all abilities and ages.

There are no qualifiers, but due to overwhelming demand for places, athletes and teams are asked to put themselves onto the ballot list, from which places are issued at random.

Athletes taking part in an individual competition will complete a series of seeding workouts which allows them to be placed into a category with athletes of a similar ability.

Wood & Rastrick categories compete on the Saturday, Kennedy & Rocket categories compete on the Sunday.

We welcome adaptive athletes to The Rainhill Trials.

MASTERS AT WAR

We are excited to announce that after a 6 year absence, MASTERS AT WAR is back! 
 

The format will be both Mixed AND Same Sex pairs  MF | MM | FF | £160 entry per pair.

Masters categories are based on your combined ages* as follows:

 Combined age 70-79

Combined age 80-89

Combined age 90-99

Combined age 100-109

Combined age 110+

*the age difference between partners must not exceed 15 years
** minimum age is 35 years

We are excited to launch the Rainhill Trials : TEAMS 2025 competition. Back for a second year, with a new and improved format.

27TH JULY 2025 | SPORTCITY

This year, there will be 3 categories of competition: Rocket, Rastrick & Wood & Teams will be asked to complete seeding workouts before the live event in their own gym.

It's time to pull your superstar team together;FOUR ATHLETES - 2 MALE, 2 FEMALE-  think of a witty name and get your details on the ballot list.
